New York’s Business and Labor Leaders Gather to Raise $1.25 Million

for Saint Dominic’s Family Services

On January 23, 2018, more than 1,000 leaders of New York City’s business and labor industry came together to celebrate and raise money for Saint Dominic’s Family Services, a nonprofit organization that helps special needs children, adolescents and adults lead productive lives. The dinner raised over $1.25 million for the 140-year-old community organization.

"The continued support of the business and labor industry has truly been critical to our organization,” says Judy Kydon, President & CEO of Saint Dominic’s. "With their generous support, we are able to keep children safe from abuse and neglect and enable children and adults with mental health and developmental challenges to live fulfilling, independent lives.”

Hosted by the Friends of Saint Dominic’s, the organization’s foundation arm, the dinner also honored three industry leaders who have especially made a difference to the Saint Dominic’s community.

"It is inspiring to see our industry come together in such a big way, year after year, for such a great cause,” says Eugene Peter White, dinner chairman of the Friends of Saint Dominic’s and a principal at Structure Tone. "Particularly this year, when we’re celebrating Saint Dominic’s 140th year of providing critical social services, it is more rewarding than ever to see what a difference this event makes to helping the organization and its mission.”

This year marked 37 years of hosting this fundraising dinner. Since 1995 the dinner has raised almost $22 million for Saint Dominic’s.
