Responding to the Needs of Those in Our Community for 140 years
One hundred and forty years ago, Dominican Sister, Mother Mary Ann Sammon established what is known today as Saint Dominic's Family Services (SDFS). From its early beginnings as an orphanage in 1878, SDFS has grown into a multi-faceted social services agency that continues to meet the challenges of the communities we serve with compassion and dignity. As needs arose, SDFS has met the call, whether it be a nurturing residential environment for individuals with developmental disabilities, therapeutic learning opportunities or community based care coordination for those with mental health challenges. We are honored to be here for future generations in need.
